    Tom,
Very nice, well behaved ink. I prefer the color of Diamine Denim, but the Akkerman bottle is the bees knees!

That's why I wants one for the bottle. Seems a perfect Edison PN and Vac filling bottle

I am looking forward to Noodler's offering a formulation of 54th Massachusetts that darkens as it dries, like IG inks do. It is already my favorite ink, and this would make an already good thing even better, IMO.

Slightly off-topic as I went to the shop to pick some up (but I waited long to find the time to do that) I had wanted just one bottle of bleu nuit but there weren't any. Unsure of what to buy I took cacao du brésil and lierre sauvage. Since neither is exactly blue, I felt compelled to add diamine midnight. Since I have exactly three pens at home, I could nicely ink them all up. After two sentences with each I like them all in their own way.

Several samples (most from OS) and my first (!) bottle of ink- Noodler's Borealis Black. It was the big eyedropper bottle, motivated partially because Noodler's is giving out double pens for the big bottles that come with them on ones that receive Noodler's eyedroppers (not preppies) and two pretty Noodler's pens and a big bottle of black is far too much for $19 to pass up!

I keep a hopeful eye out to catch a bottle of the MB Leonardo da Vinci Red Chalk. I really like the look of the ink but I wasn't a FP collector when it was out so I missed that boat. I have Diamine Ancient Copper, which is really nice, but I think the Red Chalk looks (on screen anyway) just a little better.

Those LE inks must disappear fast.

Waiting for a Sailor Kobe Gold...forgot the name and number, hoping it's as good as it looked in reviews.

I know, but I am more watchful and hopefully won't miss out again .. though I am hopeful that I will find a bottle (even a partially used one) at some point

But "there's many a slip, twixt the cup and the lip."

The day after I posted the above, an emergency came up, and I had to travel out of state on the 20th. Just got back yesterday evening, and today I picked up my accumulated mail at the PO, including the Yama-Budo. I put it in my broad nibbed Pilot Custom 74 a couple of hours ago. A nice color.

Took a chance and bought a sample because of the name: DeAtramentis' "Sherlock Holmes".
Received it and it's become my top drawer favorite blue.

My favorite navy for sure. And ink names are about 75% of selection for me.
