After the holidays I found again time to work on fountain pens.
This one I have finished today. Ebonite body with an urushi finish I call "Kujaku-Nuri" peacock Feather Lacquer. It is made by building up many layers of lacquer and metal powders, finally gound flat and polished.

Oh my, that is beautiful! I've not seen urushi like this from any other pen manufacture. Fred Faggionato uses some similar techniques but this still looks quite different. Very pretty.

Thank you. There are hundreds of known urushi techniques but yet many new to be developed and created

I misread the title and thought it said kaiju at first :)
Those black circles with golden rings look fascinating in among the red/black marbled fractal effect.
Organic, spacey and mineralized all at once..

Beautiful pen, but let's hope you avoid a Cease and Desist from Iroshizuku.
