For sale is a Montblanc 149 with a custom ground 0.4mm cursive italic nib. There’s noticeable line variation and it’s smooth enough to be used as a daily writer. It’s one of my favorites and if I didn’t have another 149 I wouldn’t be selling this one. There’s really no need for two of the same pen, so here ya go.
The pen is in very good condition. The ink window is clear. The piston operates smoothly. There’s no wear or brassing on any of the plated hardware. The resin is in excellent condition with very minor surface scratches. Most you can’t see unless you get the pen in the perfect light.
If you’re not a fan of the cursive italic grind, I can smooth it out to a stub or bring it back to a round medium at no additional cost. $450 $400
