Hi, I broke the clip to the cap of my Parker 45 Stainless circlet fountain pen. Can anybody point me to a how to guide to repair / replace myself. From recollection the clip was similar to the many old ballpoint pens that have been lying around so was wondering if I could cannibalise a clip from those ? Many thanks garry

You will need to unscrew the clip screw to take out the remains of the old clip ... which is not as easy as it sounds as they are stuck in. The usual method of doing this is to heat up the cap with a hair drier then use a rubber eraser or something that allows you to grip the clip screw and turn it. If you are lucky it will unscrew ... but often they won't and forcing it can damage the plastic threads on the cap spring.

If you can get the cap screw off you might as well get another Parker 45 clip from an old second hand pen rather then try to use a clip that doesn't fit.
