SOLD
$45 shipped USPS priority. Paypal Accepted.

Here is a nice Esterbrook LJ stamped Bell System Property. It comes with a 9556 fine nib. The 9000 series nibs are the best nibs Esterbrook made and were tipped with Osmiridium. This one is smooth and not too dry or too wet. I like to use my pens and I am selling off my thinner pens as they are too skinny for my hands. This one has a working sac and will be cleaned before shipping. The body has some scuffs but no crazy cuts or anything. Both jewels are intact and nice. The photos show the condition pretty good.

I remember the bell company. It seems like a thousand years ago. Thanks for posting.

I am open to trades. I like flex nibs, italic nibs, and broad nibs I can grind on. But mostly I like money. So buy this please. :P

I can toss in a 2000 series italic nib as well. I forget the number but it's like a .5 italic.

Ha ha....now I don't feel dumb for not remembering all those take overs and renaming. I have fond memories of a phone attached to the wire in the wall with bell logo in the center of the dial. The phone was great avocado green. Ahhhh...the past.

What about the phones you have to put quarters into?

Yup...always had a quarter in my pocket. Plus phone booths had phone books.

Quarters? When I was a kid, calls were a dime.

My grandparents had a phone in their apartment that had a coin box. No phone bill. The guy came every month to empty the coin box. You only had to pay if you had used slugs in it. You had to buy them back on the spot. IIRC, calls back then (early 1950's) were a nickel here in Chicago.

Is that like a party line?
