So I realize that my desk pens won't fit in any case except my 40 pen case from Delta and thats not convenient to carry. I know it sounds odd to look for a case to carry around a desk pen or pens... I mean they are meant to be on your desk right? lol...

What I need is something for my Nakaya Desk pens so it has to be nice & secure as well.

They are just under 8" capped and average girth.. many the same as a MB 146.

Soon any thoughts or does anyone know of such a case?

Any help, thought or ideas are appreciated so thank you in advance.

Ask Michael to make you a leather case. I have one of his and he made it to the pen dimensions. His work is amazing and you get what you want.

 Thanks for the recommendation Crazyorange it is appreciated

Earthdawn your pens are stunning and I am sure it would be possible to make a leather case to fit them as all of my cases are hand made I can make it any size you require.
My first thought would be a flat style case with the pens side by side with a fold over flap.

Foldover flap sounds pretty much spot on. How much are you willing to spend?

Maybe an artist's pencil box would work too. I vaguely remember having seen some Japanese specimens that might fit the bill, but I'm by no means knowledgeable when it comes to these.

Cheers,

I had trouble finding a case that would accommodate a 6" pen! Your need is even more specific, a 3-pen case for 8" pens... oh dear... agree a custom case is the way to go. Or find something not meant for pens that you can adapt.

Such beauties you have.

It is always difficult to express ideas in words or at least it is for me so I have made a mock up of my first idea, this is for two pens but I am sure that adding a third pen would not be too difficult

I only have one desk pen and it is a ball point (sorry about that) but at least it is a 51 style.

The black is the shaped interior to prevent the pens rolling around.

I made this case last year it has four pen slots and has a Kydex liner which is a plastic used in aircraft interiors and gun holsters it is light weight and very strong.

Have you thought of colours the picture of your pen has me wanting to try red dye over yellow I have done red with yellow in the past

Although as most of my leather is hand dyed there is a huge choice of colours available the suede I use is dyed at the tannery.

As there is a lot of space inside the lid and I have watched T M Lee work with your logo on notebooks with great interest I was going to suggest embossing that into the inside of the flap it could be carved on the outside but my embossing is better than my carving
