had been wanting to get this desk back in service for months. Monday, I had the day off, was able to get all the junk off of it and set up ready to go.
This belonged to my mom's dad and was used in his plumbing and heating business for many years. I have had it since at least the early 1980's, maybe longer. Grandpa died in 1959.So for about 20 years after his passing it was used in his business. I refinished it and used it for years. Then back in the 90's sometime it started gathering dust. I was using a big ugly steel HON and matching credenza. I still have it, but this is a sweet desk. It is small - writing surface of 22" x 44" and the knee hole is only 18". But it is perfect for writing.

Sorry for the crappy cell phone photos. They are bit fuzzy. Light wasn't great when I took them, even though it was midday or so. (basement room, not much natural light, poor room lighting)

I bet your grandpa's happy knowing it's still in family use. Well done for restoring it and keeping his memory alive.
