I really don't mind, but I thought for purposes of education I would point out that Incowrimo is meant to begin on February first and last for twenty-eight days. The aim is to write a letter a day. I've already received two inchworm letters this week. Like I said, I don't mind and look forward to replying, but we've had a structure. We also have an Incowrimo all year thread where people who ant to correspond regardless of the month can sign on. So letter the letter writing flourish, but let Incowrimo last a month or we'll all be overwhelmed. Just my two cents.

Hmm. I do know some people like to write out the letters ahead of time. I think they can just do whatever they want. If anyone burns out, eh whatever.

Btw what is an inchworm letter? I feel like it has to do with incowrimo but i don't know. Google just gave me pictures of inchworms.

I'd say 'inchworm'is just a humorous play on words with 'InCoWriMo'.
Kind regards
Timothy

I've never had the least idea what the heck incrowhatever means. So thank you for this post that explains it.

Yes, I know, dumb me. :)

But I love the name Inchworm. It's cute, and friendly. Now that's something I would have looked into joining.

Interestingly enough, the tablet I'm using right now does not think inchworm is a word. I keep getting "inchoate" when I try to type it. It's weird cause I'm pretty sure inchworm is a word.

Wondered what caterpillars had to do with InCoWriMo!

It's definitely a common usage, but I think the "correct" form is "inch-worm."

Wait. I thought it was "InkARhino". Where's bogon--he has the illustrations?!
I recall it was Lisa Anderson (of Anderson Pens) who coined the "InkARhino" phrase when she misheard Eric talking about InCoWriMo.
Anderson Pens also did a run of stationery last year with their inked & squared Rhino logo and some polka dot bow ties.

I need the bowties pad. Like now. Are they making it again?

I know they have the cards not sure about the pads. Email Lisa and ask :-)

The website showed the pads too, yesterday anyway.

I was just on the website. I must have completely missed them. Are they with the other proper pads?

I did a search on the site for InCoWriMo and it pulled up the notecards and the pads.

Found them. No idea where they were the first time I searched. This is totally a sign to buy it, more organic studio ink (I admit it I'm a FANGIRL for them. So much pigmentation) and a new pen right? Because wasting shipping would be wrong...

Problem was it was not very FP friendly.

Couldn't help but notice the Edison Pen Giveaway mentioned on the InCo site...!

I received a postcard from Texas a week ago. Didn't recognise the name and it was written with a ballpoint not a fountain pen, so didn't think it could be from here! Then remembered I'd put my address on the incowrimo comments. Someone was way ahead of the game, must have sent it around Jan 15th!

That brings me to another thought - do you mention incowrimo in your correspondence to people you've not written to before? Said postcard was just a very short "hope you're having a great day", no mention of incowrimo at all. Personally whenever I write to someone new I tell them where I found their address!

Holsworth - for InCo mail I try and put in the first paragraph something along the lines of 'Happy InCoWriMo' and I have tried to do something funny when I date the letter saying InCo Day 3, Year 3 (although Inco Day 59 could be more interesting). 90% of the time I write to FPG participants and if they have their profile filled out and I reference something from there I thank them from filling it out (so they don't wonder how I know certain things)

Most of my InCoWriMo are from here, people like Brian Anderson or Brian Grey. I may send The Binders a Thank You for sharing your knowledge and time with us Youngings card

I do if a) I've harvested their address from the InCoWriMo website or sub-forum of FPG, or b) it is my first response to them after they harvested mine.

I don't mention InCoWriMo or LetterMo to people I write during the month who don't have anything to do with those websites.
