If I'm doing the math right though... That's *way* more expensive per ml than buying the full sized bottle...

Not that much.
$10 for single bottle/15 ml =$0.66 ml
$8.35 per bottle in the 3/$25 / 15= $0.55
$35 for normal bottles / 55ml = $0.66 ml.

For me, the main attraction is the variety. It takes years for me to use up 50 ml of ink. Being able to buy three different colors would work better for me than one large bottle.

There's another nice mini bottle available, too: J. Herbin inks come in 10 ml sizes for less than $5. Jetpens has them. Not only do they work as large samples of inks you haven't tried, but as I run out I think I am going to switch to that size for all my J. Herbin inks except the frequently used Perle Noire.

I've been paying $20 a bottle for the big bottles thru Amazon at that price it's a huge difference.
