Well, I finally made it to the FP Geeks Forum!

I think you may all know me, I am Greg Minuskin, the nib retipping guy! Glad I can finally join this forum.

Well, would you believe I did not know there was a FP Geek forum until this afternoon, no kidding!

My pen collection consists of two pens, one is a sterling cap double jewel Parker 51 given to me by a dealer years ago, and now I have two pens! Yes, hard to believe, but a friend gave me a Parker 51 Areometric with a factory 1.3mm stub nib, wow!

So, now I am a collector, he he!

Hope to hear from you all soon!

welcome!!! Its great to have such knowledge here!

Wow, what a quick response to my "newbie" status, thank you!

Knowledge? I hope so. As Betty Hutton would say in "Annie Get Your Gun; "Folks don't know much learning in these parts." I hope I can impart some wisdom in the world of nibs.

Thank you oh Sith Lord of Fountain pens. I hope that the "Force" of pens will be with you always.

Was that correct to say, the Sith Lord is a good guy or bad guy? I don't know which side, sorry!

Well, it's a bit hard to explain but once you start sliding down the slippery slope that is fountain pens, it is safe to assume it is the dark side. :crazy_pilot:

Yikes! I guess I did that with nibs, and also for posting my opinion on other boards too, so I better watch my step!

LOL, I assure you it is all an online persona thing, but you knew that already. :p Do please keep us up on your opinions.

Greg, Hi and welcome to the FPN forum.
Being on so many of their podcasts you would think Eric and Dan would have already made you an honourary member.

Ink in moderation and write responsibly.

Welcome Greg! I'm a bit of a newbie here as well, but have done some business with you in the past (Sailor 21 and a really nice no-name ring-top flex). Looking forward to see your contributions here. Your work is outstanding and it's the folks like you that keep this hobby alive!

Welcome to FPGeeks, Greg!

Wow, a two-pen fountain pen collection---you must be extremely disciplined to limit yourself to just two ;)

LOL - exactly. Have been doing a fair bit of nib tuning and smoothing, but always dreaming of honing the skills and learning new ones :thumb: So, your work is an inspiration.

Greg, so glad you could make it! There's pie in the break room and beverages in the cooler under the repair desk. Please, make yourself at home.

It is interesting that such a nibmeister as Greg would have a total of TWO pens in his "collection". I suppose it is safe to say that Greg's fountain pen geekdom went in a slightly different direction.

Good to be here! Much more friendly, and not so paranoid then some other sites I have been on. Eric and Dan are great! At least on this site, and on another one that is good too, moderators are decent and truthful, and are not giving each other a "high five" to each other for banning someone for life on their site!

True, my pen "Geekdom" is relegated to just two pens. I have this philosophy about collecting pens; only collect pens given as a gift; I won't buy one for myself!
