Hi all,

I have a limited edition Sailor Pro Gear Realo, specially created for a Japanese stationery store, up for trade or sale. This Pro Gear has a lovely clear body where you can see the internal piston, and beautiful midnight blue accents at the section, end cap, and top of the cap. The trim is silver coloured, and goes nicely with the midnight blue accents. There is an inner cap and a spring to protect the nib when capped.

The nib is a 21k Naginata Togi MF. It is designed to give you line variation depending on the angle you hold it. I tend to hold my pen at one angle only, and I managed to get wider horizontal lines and thinner vertical lines. It is smooth and has a cushioned feel, and lays down a semi-wet line.

It comes in a box with some papers (no receipt), and a bottle of ink. There is no label, and I believe it was created specially for the stationery store to go along with the pen. Please refer to the last photo for a writing sample of the pen and ink.

The pen has hardly been used, but it has been inked twice - once with the accompanying ink and once with Sailor Dandyism. Ink sometimes accumulates right at the lip of the piston head. I've tried multiple flushes and soakings but the ink will not budge. It does not affect the ink inside the piston. It does not mix. I do not want to dismantle the pen to clean it as I'm not familiar with its structure. I am overseas at the moment and cannot add a picture, but I will get a picture to interested parties once I'm back.

The sale price is SOLD, inclusive of registered and tracked postage. :)

I am located in Singapore so please take that into account if you're interested in a trade.

Please PM me if you have any questions or anything, I will get back to you ASAP. If you're emailing me about a trade, please include some pictures and descriptions of the pen!

As for my reputation, I have sold (and bought! :P) successfully on this forum, Reddit and Pentrace green board

Thank you for looking! :)

Is this a 1911 or KOP?

Is this a 1911 or KOP?

I don't think it's either. I thought the 1911 has rounded ends and is "torpedo" shaped.
I believe it is a unique design, being a Pro Gear Realo demonstrator. Of course, I'm happy to be corrected if I'm wrong.

This is a Professional Gear Realo. It is unique in that it is a demonstrator with a coloured section, endcap and top of cap.

'1911' I believe refers to the Profit, which has rounded-ends, and is a cigar shape?

I hope that helped some :)

Beautiful handwriting.

Thank you!

There are Pro Gear versions of the 1911 and KOP/Profit. The PG versions both have flat ends vice taper. I ckecked some more pictures and am pretty sure this on is the smaller 1911 size.

There are also Realo versions of both sizes. The KOP size was limited edition and is no longer made.
