Hi everyone, I'm selling off some of my vintage pens - these are all nice, presentable users:

Sold, thanks fpgeeks and T! 1) Pelikan 400 - $150. This pen is marked KM on the turning nob, but it has a nib which I think is a replacement from a 140. It's nicely semi-flex; I think it's a fat fine or a thin medium. There's a bit of brassing on the trim, and I replaced the old seal with a new one from David Nishimura.

Sold, thanks fpgeeks and C! 2) Sheaffer OS Balance - $150 $90. This pen was restored by Ron Zorn about 5 months ago, and I've never inked it. It has some brassing, and the Sheaffer logo on the clip seems to have been over-polished (before Ron got it to be restored). The nib looks to be a fine.

3) Parker "51" Double Jewel (cordovan brown) - $150 $125. I restored this pen last week. It has a nice smooth nib that I would consider a fat fine. The hood on this pen is discolored, and there are some light scratches on the body and dings on the cap. Date code: 2nd quarter of 1945.

4) Parker "51" Double Jewel (black) - $150 $125. I restored this pen about a year ago and have filled it a couple of times. It has a medium nib which is very smooth. There are some scratches on the body, and a visible dent on the cap. Date code 3rd quarter of 1947.

Shipping is $5 for priority mail in the continental US - buy more than one pen, and shipping is free. :)

If you have any questions or would like to buy one, PM me or email me at joshua.denby@gmail.com. Thanks!

#1 looks like a Pelikan M400 (Old-Style) in Brown Tortoise. Is there any markings faint or otherwise on the nib. Like a faint impression of "M" etc?

It has no nib size listed on the nib. It also has the KM on the piston nob, which I don't believe was ever used on the M400, and 'Gunther Wagner Pelikan' on the barrel near the piston nob. The cap has the steel tube inside as well - another indicator of the earlier pen. I was using christof's helpful info at fountainpenboard (http://fountainpenboard.com/forum/index.php?/topic/5351-differences-between-pelikan-400-from-1950s-and-pelikan-m400-from-1980s/) to make sure I didn't goof on the era. :)

Yeah, it is the vintage model no question. The celluloid is a more dark brown on the 80s pens.

Ahh good information, which also confirmed my M400 in Brown Tortoise (though my striation is irregular as well, but the nib/feed, and cap all point to 80s M400).

... don't need another pen... but a semi-flex on a Tortoise does sound nice...

Yeah that is the vintage 400 (not M, or NN) tortoise. A lovely pen, I love mine. :)

I loved mine until the Spanish post stole it (literally cut the envelope, took its contents, and stapled the empty package) on its way back from repair. :(

I think the Parker 51s are very well priced and someone should snatch them up. (I would if I had the money)
