I am looking for an OMAS to replace my died OMAS. Any idea if this price is fair for this pen ?

Not too bad for a user grade pen.

How are you defining user grade? It looks to me and is listed as 'near mint'.

I think the price is fair. I paid around $200 for a very similar pen, an OMAS Paragon Italia '90, around two or so years ago, and that was MIB. I think if it goes above $250 it is too high.

That's a good price for what looks like a far above user grade pen (unless by user grade our associate means 'inked'). Similar pens go for 200 to 300 frequently.

Look at the home done name on the cap.

Do you mean "Gio Pomodoro," because isn't that part of the pen design (http://nibs.com/OmasFAOLE.htm)?

Or perhaps you mean something else and I'm missing it.

Could be. But if so it certainly looks like what a kid might do with his penknife.

AbE: Checked and that really is part of the design.
