Here we have another of my custom Lamy Al Star fountain pens. It was supposed to be a Crimson Copper color but as you can see it came out more copper.

I thought the top of the cap had slightly more of a crimson colour like your jar of powder.

Were the stripes produced by etching or laying thin bands on the cap ?

Maybe its because the cap has no silver powder apart from the top. The stripes were placed on the cap by hand, it is stripping tape that ladies use on their nails.
