Hello pen fans,

My name is Trevor and I know nothing about pens.

I got this nice set recently. I've done some preliminary research about it but I have a few questions I can't seem to answer:

The nib here says 18K, but what part of this pen is gold?
There seem to be some slightly different types of the Visconti Divine Proportion pen set. Which is this one?

Can anyone suggest an approximate value range for this set? I know on some forums open discussion of value is frowned upon, so if that is the case here please accept my apologies.

Finally, thank you very much in advance for your help.

PS:

Pen is unused (never been filled) and also comes with a blue bag with the Visconti logo on it.

Thank you for any help.

You have the original Silver Visconti Divina Proporzione number 640 of 1618 produced. The only part that is gold is the nib and it is 18k.

Having the outer box would add to the value as would having the inkwell. I'm not positive about the bag since mine is burgundy and was purchased from an authorized dealer when it was released.

When it was issued in 2006 the MSRP was $1618 but sold for around $1000 after a while. Values are fickle and it's worth exactly what someone is willing to pay.

Hi Wile,

How's this bag look? I plan to sell this pen set and I want to make sure everything is correct.

Thank you again for your help.
