You probably don't know, but figured it'd be worth a shot asking anyways. Do you know if the nib is already seated deep enough in the collar that it could possibly fit an M2xx/M4xx without impacting with the cap?

(I have a M640 18K Medium that does fit my lower model pens, but I don't want to have that one modified by a nibmeister, but a 14K from a M60x if I remember correctly can be modified for a little bit of added flex among other things).

Hey! I'm not sure it's seated deep enough as is (I can compare to an M400 nib and see), but I'm sure whoever did the work on the nib would be able to do that for you. The 14K nibs can definitely have flex added to them, unlike the 18K ones.

Cool.

This might help (I'd compare visually but I can't really see where the engraving starts sitting in a pen etc). I'm assuming the nib size engraving is always at the same spot on the modern nibs, so if the nib sizing sits about the same installed, it just may already be seated deeply enough.

My 18K Nib is exactly 2.1cm (21mm) from the lip of the collar to the tip of the nib.

Keeping my eye on this one, will likely grab it if it's still available in a day or two. Love my M640, but weary about getting it's original nib ground, and a spare for customization would be great.

Here you go, Karl. The nib measures between 21 and 22mm:
