I've been looking at Pilot Custom pens and at the Pilot Falcon, but I'm hopelessly confused by all the model numbers like 823 and 912 and 91. Has anyone written a guide?

I just ordered a Pilot Custom 74 from Japan with SFM nib so thats really helpful - thanks!

My first order from Japan direct (rakuten seller) to the UK so a bit of an experiment to see how much I get stung for customs / VAT charges. The prices are sooo much cheaper than UK it is outrageous really. If this modest purchase goes well I might jump in and order a Sailor Realo (at one third of the UK retail price)

The all-Japanese emails also add a bit of excitement to the process.

Thanks for posting the link
