Is it really necessary to have three threads for (essentially) the same pens? I could (possibly) understand if we were talking about pens selling for hundreds of dollars, but $14?

Seems like all three threads could easily be consolidated by sharing which colors and quantities are left.

Maybe it's just me, but it's frustrating to see this sort of thing knowing other sellers' threads are less likely to be seen as a result.

Lex sells pens at a great price and is a true gentleman. It's pretty petty of you guys to write those posts. It's really hard to scroll down isn't it?

Gentleman,

This will be my one and only reaction to your posting:

These Elite pens are very low priced and I barely make any profit on them. I'm just passing them on to my friends here on FPG. The quality is recognized, so the selling is pretty fast. It makes sense to inform the FPG community about the availability to prevent disappointment. As there are different models it also makes sense to update the status for each pen in separate postings. I cannot imagine that anyone would be annoyed by getting good and reliable information.
And I certainly cannot imagine why someone offering a (say) $400,-- pen would have more privilege or understanding for showing and informing members about the status of his stuff than someone who is offering items on the low side of the pricing range!

There was a time before this. Many of us FPG members used to visit the (what is cynically called now) The Other Site.
This sort of flaming almost destroyed it. Most of us are having fun here now. Please, please let us keep it that way!

So: :banplease: What is exactly your problem guys? Am I using too much space? If you are not interested, just do not click on my ads... How easy can it be?

And: Thanks for the support Curtis!

Lex

Wow, Lex I'm sorry someone had a bad day and jumped on your case. Lex does great work, and is a great service to the fountain pen community, keeping tons of old pens in service and use and allowing folks to try these old brands at frankly ridiculously low prices. He's got every bit as much right to post these as anyone else to post their sales. We are hardly such a busy board that *anyone's* sales posts are going to get lost.

Well said, @tandaina! Besides, why should price be the only consideration for a separate posting? Lex's pens may not carry a big price tag but they were lovingly restored and have fascinating backgrounds and histories that are PRICELESS. You rock, Lex! Keep up the good work!

When I'm going to spend money for a pen, I want more information, not less. Lex provides great pictures, descriptions, and how much remaining stock there is. I wish everyone would post their sales like this.

I believe that people with so little respect for the less wealthy collectors or collectors of cheaper pens should be removed from this site!
