Nice review and great pen, Ivan! That really is a M1000-grade pen, even the nib is almost equal in size. The only thing is the first line in your review seems to have a bit of an unstable ink line. Might be the paper?

And by the way, nice blog too.

Cheers,
Peter

Thank you peterpen. Yes, the line is a bit unstable there. If you notice, the ink color is also a bit darker than the rest of the review. This was done after an unavoidable stint in the trunk of my car with 100F degrees of desert heat. As you can see, it evened out nicely after a few lines. :) I think that speaks volumes of the pen and the ink.

That might explain it. It was just so striking because after the first three lines there is not a single flaw to be found in the remainder of your review. Says something about the pen and ink indeed.

KI, your Edison Herald B&B LE 2012 is a gorgeous looking pen. It seems to have that smooth tactile feel that you just want to hold.
The blue & black patterning is entrancing to look at, every Daakusaido needs one.

I quite like the appearance of the Ku-Jaku ink too.

I love the looks of the pen and like you I was saddened when I couldn't get this particular ebonite after I missed the first Edison pen with it. When B&B had it available, I picked up one with a fine nib. This is the only pen in my collection that comes close to being too big. In my mind this pen is the threshold... anything larger would be too big. But then again... it doesn't really fit in my EDC case and it doesn't really fit in my shirt pocket well. Good thing I have freakishly large hands. I think the B nib looks wonderful and it compliments the pen much better than mine with a fine nib. One of these days I am going to have to purchase a different nib unit just to try a nib that is more proportional to the pen.

Thank you Bogon. It is one of those pens you just want to hold. The blue-black ebonite is what drew me to the pen and Edison Pens in general.

IIRC, I think it was your post that directed me to the B&B LE group buy in the first place. :) It is really big. I think it is perfect for my hand lengthwise, for my hand. Unposted that is. The only other ebonite pen I have makes the Herald look dinky, girth-wise. I can use the pen but it just looks slightly ridiculous. :D
