Arrived in the mail yesterday

Pelikan M600 White Tortoise SE with BB custom ground to 1mm stub by Mike Masuyama and a TWSBI Micarta with B ground to 0.9mm stub. These pens had a notable first owner...

Do those descriptions sound familiar?

I hope you enjoy them.

I enjoy all my pens & nibs, but am loving this Mike Masuyama stub nib especially, but my life is very much like the winning FPGeek cartoon - Tap, tap on the computer, parcel arrives, I go weeeeee at the sight of pen and then back to tap, tap tap on the computer to track down the next one...

Congratulations on your parcel. I really like the pristine white on the Pelikan M600 White Tortoise SE. It is a beautiful pen.
The Micarta is such a unique looking pen.

Yes they do. Your luck I was not around when that White Tortoise went up for sale. Enjoy!

Ahhh....So you're the pen geek who bought Dan's fountain pens, eh? ;)

I'm sure they will be amazing writers...Use them in good health!

I couldn't resist. I have been undecided about the look of White Tortoise model for quite a while but the Mike Masuyama stub sold me as I am an easy mark for a nibmeistered nib already owning custom nibs by Richard Binder and John Mottishaw. But in flesh the White Tortoise is a beautiful and classy looking pen, I am thinking about sourcing a M400 version at the moment to complete the set. The TWSBI Micarta was a surprise as well , it is such a nice pen in the hand and the smell so reminds me of the hobby electronic kits of my youth.

They were not quite the ones I was thinking about but I too had a radio shack one as a child, no the ones my local electronics store had cheap kits where the circuit boards were a form of micarta.
