Disclaimer: I am a self-trained pen repairman who's been about this business for the better part of a year now. The pens I am offering up aren't usually Mint/Near Mint/Excellent condition and the prices reflect that fact. These were user grade pens from a bygone era. My attempt is to bring them back to life in the hopes that they will be used as the wonderful tools of creation they once were. Where applicable I use Richard Binders website for repair information, Pen Identification and a myriad of other nuggets of wisdom. I have replaced the sacs in these pens, cleaned and polished them. They have been reassembled with care and precision. All my writing samples are conducted by myself or my wife and with the pen featured in this classified. Questions are always welcome.
1. Sheaffer's 500-TD Blue with Brushed Steel Cap - This is a great vintage writing instrument for someone looking to expand their fountain pen collection that doesn't currently own a touchdown filler. The nib is a wonderful Medium nail that writes quite well. The Touchdown filling system is in working condition and is still one of my favorite filling systems. The pen itself is in nice cosmetic condition with microscratches present on the barrel. - 35 USD

2. Vacuum-fil Moss Agate lever filler with Moore's Maniflex nib - Vacuum-Fil is a Sheaffer sub-brand and this is an excellent example of one of their pens. Unfortunately it came with a scrapped nib, so I swapped it out with a Moore's Maniflex nib. The pen itself has very light wear marks, a few microscratches only. The nib has a very small crack at the base where the feed meets the section collar. It does not effect the performance of the nib as can be seen in the provided writing sample. The nib itself writes a XF/F and allows for flex capabilities up to BB+ maxing out approx 1.5mm. It's a lovely vintage pen that is a very pleasant writer. - [60 USD] Reduced to 50 USD
