I picked up a Pilot Fermo which came with a 18K Fine, seems to be from around 2012 or so based on the date code of that nib.
But the main reason I picked it up was to use it with the 14K Namiki 0.5 Stub (Dan Smith Grind off a Medium) that I had spare which was originally with a black carbonesque VP, the date code on that nib unit puts it at 2004.
The issue is, with that nib unit, it'll extend on a twist, but it won't always retract when untwisting it, as if it's slightly too snug and needs to be unscrewed and pulled out.
The fine unit seems good with the extract/retract each time, just not the older unit I want to use.
Thought the Fermo was designed to be able to take the capless/vp and decimo units? (or least that all three were capable of it now days).
