View Full Version : Two old MBs

Last sunday i found these at an antique dealer, they were dirty but otherwise in good shape, no cracks or anything.

Itīs a danish Mb 226 (1941-1954)in coral red, and a small danish MB K2 (1937-1946) also coral red, which is the short version of the model 2, they are both button fillers.

They just needed 2 new sacs and some cleaning and they were good to go again, the K2 had a wrong nib, but i had the right one lying around, unfortunately the clip on the K2 is wrong, but i hope i will find the right one some day.
The imprints are nice and clear.

The size of the MB K2 can be seen where it is next to a celluloid 142 and a early sixties 149.

Often that size pen was made for both men and women. Look at the small Waterman 52s and 52Vs as well as the Sheaffer Tuckaways. One of my favorite pens these days is my Yard-o-Led Viceroy Victorian Pocket pen.

Interesting. I'm guessing a pen to travel with needed to be smaller.

Thanks, it was mostly dried up ink and crud, so not a big deal really.

jar: Not to hijack, but those are handsome sterling pens. I've never had a Yard o' Led.

I was lucky and found the right clip for the MB k2, here it is next to a danish Mb 30.
