Yes, isn't it nice? I fell in love with it when I saw and tried out Bogon07's Delta Vintage, in the same green colourway.

The nib is a steel EF. It has a really generous ink flow (as you can see from the writing sample, cos Alt Goldgrün is a fairly dry ink), and it has a very nice feel, quite firm but smooth, with a hint of feedback. Didn't even need a 'Magic-Murfie' nib tweak lol.

Yes, the Basic is a much bigger pen. Yet, although I much prefer smaller dimensions all round for my pens, the Basic is a very comfortable pen to use. The nib is also a happy surprise. A generous ink flow & a smooth writer, with nice feedback.

Yes, Murfie fitted it with a Monteverde mini converter. It works really well. The red Vintage is rather lovely & I can't wait to see it. I was very tempted by the black & the dark emerald green too.

Dinner just finished. Biryani was accompanied by Murfie's home-made chapatis. I'm full up to my ears LOL .

Thank you, Jeph. I think I've got quite a few (many!) years on you, but I still love birthdays. I'm a twin, so always have the fun of sharing the day. Being in Australia this year has meant I can't share it this year, but it's been a wonderful day, nevertheless.

Happy Birthday from another Aussie just up the road. Lamb Biranyi. enjoy. dont forget the roti bread and I will give you a tip that was passed onto me by a Pommie friend. Champagne and curries are like strawberries and cream. Cuts through the curry and very delightful.
Enjoy your pens. I actually got a nice present (from myself) A Gillott 604 EF elastic dip nib. Cant believe how good that nib is.
