I received this Pelikan M600 not too long ago in exchange for one of my pens, it's a 2-chick cap, but of the larger size (so 1997 to 2003) than the pre-97 models. The nib is 14K in 2-tone with a medium size that runs a little on the wet side, but not too wet (a good shading balance).
Two things to note, the piston knob is not perfectly centered to the barrel, it's more to one side than the other but is straight with the barrel and piston operation is smooth.
The other is a couple small bumps on the barrel of the pen near the middle, not really visible and is small, but I noticed it in the first couple days feeling up the pen, it's minute and cosmetic-only but worth noting.
The Nib unit had an ultrasonic cleaning and tuning when I got it so that it was wet leaning and smooth and capable of writing on the back side of the nib with a light hand.
I'm asking $180 shipped insured (US shipping included, international additional), I do not have a box for this.
I'm including a 30ml bottle of Diamine Syrah (20% full), 30ml bottle Diamine Saddle Brown (90% full)
plus two sample vials (5.5ml filled) of these lovely shading inks
Waterman South Seas Blue and Noodler's Apache Sunset.
Mainly a good pen for someone looking for a clean everyday user that's slightly larger than the M400/M200 but not much heavier (around 16g), the nib unit unscrews easily like with most modern pelikans which can make it easier to rinse/shake out the nib and barrel if you're one of those people who like to change inks often. It can also accept nib units from M100, M200, and M400 pens, though they may look slightly smaller on the M600 body.
I like the pen, but as you can see I already have a Pelikan M640 that suits my hand shape better, and already has a M nib (which leans more towards 'fine' which is my size preference).
