Some I see pop up (piston filler hooded nibs) wondering f they are real or fake? They seem to have a stock photo. Alot of them are From Germany or Croatia. Curious if they are the real deal or fakes?

I have never seen a fake although I suspect that there might be some. I bought a MB from Croatia, but only with the person and the pen right in front of me. It is just a personal quirk maybe, but I will not do business by internet anywhere in Eastern Europe. It might not be fair but it is safe. The majority of pens produced by MB were not in fact the 149's that you see talked about all the time. There more mundane economy type pens are plentiful. I have an 030 that was pretty much a steal and a great pen but you don't see anybody talking about pens like that much. Many of them are actually C/C pens though, you have to be pay attention. In my rotation today are 3 MB's, top to bottom
MB 030, piston, OM steel nib, grey
MB 220, C/C, M 14K nib, Makrolon
MB 14, piston, EEF 14K nib (this one was out of Croatia), Black

Never seen a fake MB with a piston. The antique piston fillers are either too hard to fake, or not worth it.
