I know that I maybe to active posting pens here but think that I should show this one.
This is probably the most time consuming pen I ever made. The urushi technique I call "raden to kai" pieces of abalone shell and parts of shells and snails are embedded into wet lacquer and ground. The roll stopper is build up in high relief with urushi mixed with iron powder, layer upon layer.

Cheers,

Martin

I totaly agree with Sitsi.

Please keep on, again, and again.

I personally dislike the metal ring, but all the rest is of great beauty. Thank you.

Thank you. It is also available without the gold ring but this specific one was made on demand.
Enjoy weekend

I completely agree.

I am always impressed by Manupropria's work, but this particular pen is even more stunning than usual. The roll stopper especially shows great technique and craftsmanship. Wow.

post more, not less. Or the same. Your pens are beautiful.
