I know that I maybe to active posting pens here but think that I should show this one.
This is probably the most time consuming pen I ever made. The urushi technique I call "raden to kai" pieces of abalone shell and parts of shells and snails are embedded into wet lacquer and ground. The roll stopper is build up in high relief with urushi mixed with iron powder, layer upon layer.
