Today I finished a new additin to my collection, fountain pens made from Rosewood/Ebonite.
The section is made from Ebonite. After final grinding with abrasive paper grit 7000, the surface was sealed with urushi several time to close the pores of the wood. All the best,

Martin

Gorgeous. I like them all, but especially the rosewood ones.

Thank you. I also find the redwood more attractive

Wow, those are incredible! I love the thin gold colored cap band. It adds a healthy dose of elegance to the pen.

Thank you. The thin band is the same time to protect the thin walls of the cap

Gorgeous!

My preference goes to the rosewood ones, without the gold ring.

love the non-rounded rosewood. personal preference would be without the thin gold coloured band (but im picky that way)

The figure on the rosewood pens is lovely. Like another poster I particularly like the flat top.

The use of wood with strong figure makes me wonder whether you have looked at using blackwood with a white/yellow streak - not, apparently, desirable for making clarinet mouthpieces which should be all black, but available as offcuts for turning occasionally. I managed to get some blanks from a local supplier a while back and they are sitting in my workshop waiting for a use...

I rather like the ring - very understated. How is it applied - is it the lip of a small internal tenon?

Thank you for your comments.
I received some more wood samples for making pens.
Wood tht is to light does not well work. The harder the better the surface .
The rings are made like this

Cheers,

Martin

The rosewood and black with the flat ends are amazing. I love the styles.
