My first trip to the "new" San Francisco Pen Show, now in its second year. Well run. Great turnout. I sold well. Though I wasn't in the hunt for oodles of pens for website stock (I'm still catching up on website updates), I did hope to bring home a modest pile of fun stuff. I succeeded. Nearly every one below offers something interesting (yes, that is a bit subjective) within its niche. Kudos if you recognize all.

Both via Stylo Art? The urushi is drop dead gorgeous (I think Franz has a couple of pics?) and, well, you're a chef, enough said. :)

I believe you showed me the red bandless Sheaffer. I don't know its significance but it has a wonderful color!

Hi Dan,

Mid-late 1920s Sheaffer Loaner pen. Cherry Red, presumably Celluloid, meant to be given out to customers who had their pen in for work, back in a time when many people had just one fountain pen. The OS pen has small nib, in keeping with loaner purpose... no need to impress. This one is an uncommon variant even on the Sheaffer Loaner theme, as it has an off catalogue clip style. Fairly rare pen. Doubt I've handled even five in this trim set the last 15 years.

You can see more about Cherry Red 1920s Sheaffers next door at FPB: http://fountainpenboard.com/forum/index.php?/topic/228-cherrry-red-celluloid-sheaffers/

Note the Loaner shown there has the bland seemingly non-Sheaffer "Z" clip that actually is the catalogued form. The pen in my first post here has an actual "Sheaffer's" clip, which is a minority finding for this pen.

Heh. Apparently, login credentials were lost during a purge of undesirables.

Perhaps, but as far as I know the only two people currently on hiatus are those who threatened innocent people.

Ladies and gentlemen, this is the height of absurdity. From the person who always claimed to never ban anyone, people have been banned with no reason given, no communication, nothing. And, if we are speaking in my case, it isn't simply because I caused no infraction on HIS site, but my assumption that it is retribution for something that happened elsewhere.

David, I made it a point to be civil, pleasant, and polite with you at the recent show; point of fact, you were one of the first people I ran into at the mixer.. I did so because it was the right thing to do, I had many friends involved in the event, and I wanted good times with innocent parties such as Paul Erano. At any moment you could have said something to clear the air. You didn't. Instead, you've extended the ban.

Sorry, folks. With a situation like this, it is just like having to talk about FPN *off of* FPN, because you can't talk there. Remarkably lame. "threatened innocent people." Yeah, me, right.

Some perhaps should recall their own writings.

Just sayin'...

Too, it is interesting though somewhat unfortunate to see wild claims offered about my policy and philosophy.
