A gem I picked up at the SF Pen Show, August 2015. This one stays in my personal collection. Parker's only red Celluloid pen, Part of a cluster of pens manufactured 1932-1936 called Premier (larger size, matching plastic top plate) and Moderne (smaller size, metal top plate) in Canada, but packing bland "Parker" imprints in the USA. Often lumped together with a diverse range of models by collectors who call them "Thrift" pens. They were good quality pens using the button-fill system. A huge range of colors were offered, with each probably offered relatively briefly.

The bright red pens are rare and often are found worn and discolored.

I couldn't pass on this mint condition set at the show. Rumor has it it made the rounds from Saul Kitchener's estate via Jon Strother to Dayne Nix to me in a couple hours. So it goes...
