The Récife model is not "Depose". The word "déposé" follows Récife on the markings of multiple models, and is basically the French equivalent of putting "TM" or "(R)" after the brand name.

Do you know what the nib size is (F or M, not #5 or #6)?

Ah, good to know, thank you. Do you happen to have a model name?

The Recife nib size is f/m.

I know it is not a "Crystal" (which is what I have), but I don't know what model it is. Mine actually has an "F" at the base of the nib; I take it yours does not have a definite point size marked on it, and that it doesn't have the original converter?

I probably should not be considering it, but I do like how it looks ...

1. Recife, I don't know the model. Seems to take Waterman cartridges. I see one tiny mark.
If anyone cares, Récife customer support tells me it is a "Mercuri Replica Ecaille", or "Mercury Replica Scale" in English, where "Ecaille/Scale" is the name of the guilloiche pattern (there are and were others). They also tell me the pen is around 20 years old. The material is Bakelite, the original synthetic thermoplastic.

Récife also tells me they expect a Schmidt K5 converter to fit, but one doesn't quite fit inside the barrel. A Waterman converter does. All sizes of international/standard cartridge fit though, including the long Pelikan "Giant" size cartridges.

It is a nice pen that writes well; thank you for selling it to me.
