I've been living in Florence for a little while now. I have been quite busy with research and thesis related "stuff." I have of course been looking around for nice FP shops here. I found a few, not many are dedicated to fountain pens, most are high end stationery shops that carry some generic pens. Then I remembered a shop I visited two years ago when I was here, it wasn't far from Palazzo Medici (one of my favorite buildings in Florence) so I went to have a look. As a person interested in fountain pens one is always looking for the right pen to buy. Of course there are a million beautiful Visconti pens as well as Omas and Delta, there's no shortage of great Italian fountain pens, but I wanted something "special."

Luckily I was at the right place at the right time. It happens to be Casa della Stilografica's 70th birthday, and to commemorate this occasion they collaborated with Delta to produce a pen exclusively for them, and only 70 produced. Many boxes were checked off and I decided to go ahead and purchase one. So here is the special limited edition Delta "Italiana" for Casa della Stilografica. I am very happy with it, with the presentation and the whole process. The people at the shop were helpful and patient and were very nice, making this pen even better. Now I have perhaps the best souvenir ever for an fp geek.

Oh and of course the pen is made from Delta's famous orange acrylic with a difficult to photograph sheen, slightly see through and all around stunning. The nibs on these pens were only produced in steel, no gold option, even still the pen was one of the nicest writing experiences.

Living and studying in Florence? Sounds wonderful!

The pen is great - as well as being a wonderful memento of your time in Florence should you ever leave.

I like. What is the nib and section like?

Congratulations on such a beautiful pen. And what a joy to be in Florence. Enjoy both.

I hope you find time to do some sketching, and share it here. :)

Thank you. I have been sketching and I am slowly sharing some new drawings in the thread I started under the Art section of the forum. I'll try to keep updating as much as possible!! Thank you for your interest.

I'll take a photo once I'm back at my place.
