Just ordered this in the red wine color. One important feature for carrying my grail pens, was the full length protection of the clip and top of the pen. Its something I haven't usually seen in other pen rolls. Imo pretty classy looking too. Was really on the fence due to the price, but after contemplating the full length pen coverage, I jumped on it gladly.

Thanks, they shipped it out this morning via EMS.

Here's where I first learned of it, in a short interview with the Nakaya Fountain Pen nibmeister, and his amazing collection of Nakaya. And of course he owns a Dorsal! :o You can see more clearly the quality of the leather and leatherwork.

It came in a couple days ago.

The kip (baseball glove) leather is *very* supple and j-u-s-t thick enough. There comes with it a tactile and visual sense of quality--it made me go back to the eBay page to read about the leather.

As you can see by the Pilot Custom 74 to the right of the M605, the Nagasawa pen roll's height should be just enough to also carry and protect the M1000/No. 149, which are both a couple mm's longer than the Pilot. Not 100% that the 149 will fit girth-wise, but I think it will. We'll see in a couple weeks ;).

In real time the wine red leather is gorgeous. I love the color and it helps to compensate my Meisterstuck Bourgogne envy. As a former sailmaker I approve the craftsmanlike layout and stitching.

Things are easily cinched up with a nice clovehitch. Maybe I'll take a pic later, but the Nagasawa will also work well as a single or double pen roll--giving extra padding if needed. Like that you can just toss it into a handbag or backpack.

What a way to end a Friday, as I'm of the impression that this is a product that was worth every penny.
