For sale is a Sheaffer Legacy 1 fp with a green lacquer barrel and a palladium and gold cap. The pen has a 18k F nib. It was purchased NOS and used lightly (inked a couple of times). It has a touchdown filling system (still makes that whoosh-like sound) but can also use Sheaffer cartridges. It has no more than micro/very light signs of use. Original box, papers and two cartridges included. $145, including shipping in the USA; will accept PayPal or check/money order. Thank you.

This is a great price! Shouldn't last long. I'd buy it myself, but I prefer the girth of classic Targas.

That is a great pen and a nice price. Oh, I would jump on that had I the scratch handy. That green gold and white metal looks snazzy.

OK, fine. I have to buy it on principle, I guess. Zhivago, I've got your PayPal already, so just give me the green light, and I'll send the money.

Good move, Mike. This balances the universe after Dan popping for that flexy Vac. All is well.

(And, man, I'd go for it if I hadn't just bought the Legacy a few weeks ago!)

Happy to help, if I can, but it turns out that I'm only next in line. I am OK with it, either way, but I did realize after some thought that the reason the PFM didn't work out for me wasn't about its size per se. Rather, I didn't like that it was so hard to clean out, and to a lesser extent I didn't like the significantly wider girth of the cap, as I prefer a relatively minor increase in girth where the pen rests on the web of my thumb when posted. The modern incarnation above, however, differs favorably (to me) from the PFM in both respects, so I realized that I might like it rather a lot.

I can't imagine anyone liking the bastard (http://www.fototime.com/2B4F4393524FA7C/large.jpg) incarnation (http://www.fototime.com/7A367892ECCC6F7/large.jpg) of (http://www.fototime.com/BAE36B9CAA2F5DD/large.jpg) the (http://www.fototime.com/7FBA976601DDF5D/large.jpg) glorious PFM. But each to their own.:amen:

Sorry to close the discussion, but the pen did just sell.
