My interest in Fountain pens started on the 21st of February this year (shortly after lunch I seem to remember).
I have found that researching Montblanc both frustrating and interesting, but far too many for me to acquire ££££ $$$$ !
I regret, the images are iPad only. My rangefinders are not much use for close up work.
I am still learning to post pictures, I hope they are not too big.

I'm not worthy! Is #1, tray 1 a user or display pen?

Wonderful collection!

I love the pens - you can keep the MBs, it's the early Pelikans and the Conway Stewarts that do it for me.

But: it's hardly a modest collection. Please!

I'm with Jon in this one - MB's leave me underwhelmed, but the Pelikans and the CS's are very, very nice.

'Modest' is certainly an understatement. :) Impressive focus and speed. Anything in mind to fill the empty slots?

Edit: Are those 75s Premiers?

"Modest collection" that is simply too droll. A collection of 1000s of dollars worth of pens in a mere 7 months is not a collection, it is a feeding frenzy. Gnash, gnash!

Those 244s are beautiful! You've certainly found some good dealers (and it looks like you've made them pretty happy to have you as a customer)!

Hi Bluesea, I presume you mean the 149 ?
I have not used it yet, I have attached a photo of the actual nib (courtesy of Michael Knott).

Hi catbert, Not sure about being Premiers. They are both made in France with 18k nibs. The Chinese Laque was purchased new by myself back in the late 80's, I recall that it was fairly expensive at the time!
The Cisele dates from about the same time and was a recent gift from my girlfriend.

Hi Jon, Thanks for allowing me to keep the MBs! Actually I like Pelikans and Conways also.

A UK dealer has a Conway 22 Floral on offer at the moment, near mint condition with no discolouration. He is asking £695.
I am tempted as it is a rare pen in almost any condition, or maybe I should sit on my hands for a while.

At the moment it is the MBs of the standard that I wish to collect (and use on occasion) that have so far become more easily available for me to buy.

Thought I would post a few photos of my late 1980's M800 complete with box and ink, has never been used.
Does any pen manufacturer make boxes like this any more, I love it.

My dealer has a holiday home in Ibiza, no idea how he can afford it!

I wondered because my 75 (US-made, 14K nib) is considerably smaller than a 51 or 61, whereas your 75s look about the same size as a 51. Yours also seem less tapered and to have a different centre band.

Hi catbert,

Thanks for the links, I will check them out later.
Member Carmen Rivera has an old post dated May 23rd 2014 07.45 pm showing the same Cisele pen as my one.
I am sorry not to provide a link, something else for me to figure out.
I guess the French made pens were towards the end of the production of this model?
Sorry not to be of much help at the moment.

How's the Lacquer 75 feel?

Also curious about the gold band on your Parker 75 Cisele, I don't have that on mine (http://pens.kbeezie.com/post/parker-75-cisele/) (is it the difference between US made and French Made?)

edit: guess the same was asked above in regards to my second question.

Hello Karl, Regarding post #17. I have now had a look at the links that carbert kindly provided. Checkout the Premier link. It seems that my two "75's" are an offshoot of the 75 line. I did use the Chinese Laque for a short while, it has a fairly stiff nib but smooth enough in use. The finish is smooth and visually quite deep, a nice looking pen.
