Hi there,

This time not pens but pen bags.
A while ago I found an old sewing machine, made by Pfaff in Switzerland the 1930s, still in perfect working condition.
Yestarday afternoon I used it to make cotton pouches for my pens.
It is important for me to make as much by myself as possible.

Best regards,

Martin

I love the sewing machine.

The pen bags? Sober, elegant, a perfect match with the Manu Propira pen box.
A very nice ensemble.:)

They look like great pen bags/pouches. Tell us a bit more about the material? Some of the Japanese makers, I think, recycle old kimono silk?

Thank you.

The fabric is 100% cotton, a material used to make bead covers. I bought it in a local department store. Indeed in Japan some manufacturer use old kimonos but they getting rarer and rarer. On my opinion a thick cotton fabric has a good feel and protects the urushi pen well also when it is dropped
