Manu Propria - Futo - Ishimeji

Hi there,

Came back last Monday from the Pen Show in Madrid, Spain and was happy to pick up work again.
Today I finished another "futo" design pen with "ishimeji-nuri" urushi. ishimeji = stone skin.
I personally don't like the boring, even ishimeji-nuri offered by other manufacturers. I prefer a ishimeji-nuri that looks like real worn and polished stone surface with polished peaks and matt deeper areas as we find on real stones, but this is only my opinion.

Does the technique allow for changing the color to be grey, like typical stones?

Hi, yes any shade of gray, brown or even red for lapis is possible but in Japan the jet-black is the most preferred "color"
