Anyone know what this is, or what the nib may be like?

Looks very similar to this pen: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Wahl-Eversharp-Equipoise-flex-14K-Nib-Fountain-Pen-Vivid-GREEN-PEARL-RingTop-vtg-/401035342764?_trksid=p2047675.l2557&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&nma=true&si=rLOf6FJNCp63%252B9vhc7rn7R0geCI%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc

I don't know much about pen ID'ing, but I added that to my watch list yesterday... Then it sold. Womp. But looks like the nib is the same and should be pretty flexy?

Does look similar. Though the one I am showing doesn't say 'Signature' on the nib. Not sure exactly what that means though.

"signature" indicates semi-flex

Pen be Type IV Equi-Poised 1932. Image suggests the small Purse Pen but I cannot wholly exclude a ringtop version of the slightly longer clasp-size.

Pen is apparently 12cm long (that's just over 4 5/8 inches for the US crowd), and needs a new rubber thingy inside. Don't know who would do that though.

Rubber thingy = sac?

Yes, ma'am. I won this pen on that auction site. Bit of a random thing to do, but the pen looked clean and was described as in excellent condition though needing a new sac. As I cannot ever hope to afford a proper vintage flex pen I am left with these wild gambles. Sadly the price of nice flexible nibs has got a bit ridiculous lately. I vaguely remember reading an article by a well-known pen person that spoke openly of the outrageous market gouging that goes on by sellers with Waterman 52 pens. People rarely care how they are perceived by others though when money is involved.

Yeah, I'm in the same boat. I've got a Jinhao on the way that I'm going to try shoving a dip nib into.

And I'll keep camping auctions and such in the meantime...

What is ridiculous price and what is reasonable price, in your opinion?

I am trying to locate the article I alluded to. As I recall, the author stated that many sellers had buckets full of Waterman 52s and dribbled them onto the market in a deliberate attempt to inflate prices beyond what was reasonable. For me, in absolute terms, anything that goes above $100 is expensive. When you start talking in sums of $500 - $1000 I can only shake my head. That's my opinion, but please bear in mind that I am also low down on the financial ladder. People with deep pocket swill think nothing of paying high prices for these pens, and ultimately aid in driving the prices out of the range of enthusiasts like me.

Okay guys and gals, I need a little help here.

The Eversharp has arrived, and it is beautiful. Pictures really do not do it justice.

The sac needs to be replaced. What is the best option for me. Consider that I have no repair experience at all. Who is the best person to send this to for expert attention?

Incidentally, the nib - on a quick dip - writes from about 0.4 mm to about 1.2mm with very light pressure. I guess I can call that flexy?
