So I got my TWSBI mini the other day and was messing around with the nib. Swapping out my 540 stub etc after seeing Brian Goulets video on it. Pretty neat and everything fit well including the cap.

I had contacted Pendleton about doing a custom nib but once I saw the 540 nib swap in a previous review video I emailed him back and asked for his TWSBI 540 Pendleton Point Bad Boy with Angel Wings semi-Flex~Italic "Hot Tip" nib that he usually keeps in stock.

Well it arrived today and WOW what a ridiculous nib! I mean this thing just screams at you and writes like nothing I have ever tried. Don't mind my terrible writting in the background PLEASE. Take a look at that nib and how awesome it looks on the mini. YES it was $55 for the pen shipped & $80 for the nib shipped but after all the nib is what makes the pen.

Pendleton is just an amazing nib man. I can't explain in words all that is going on with it but it really gives amazing feedback and has so much to offer in any way you hold it. NOTE: the nib is not dull, as it looks in the pictures. It actually has a frosted look to it.

I have been wanting to see if I could duplicate his work for myself. I see the basic structure of his work but I need to get a hold of one to compare to. :D Especially interested in the feed side of the nib.

I got to see this nib in person in Columbus today. Freakin sweet. Pendleton put his special cursive stub on my Lamy 2000 today. It is also pretty freakin sweet. pendleton is the man. Quite the character.

Yeah he's THE man. I bought that same nib on a TSWBI micarta at the Columbus show today. He called it a "naughty broad"... which gave me quite a chuckle. It's a semi-flex in a brushed finish with wings. He's a hoot and a true nib artisan.

It would be the nib back side. I am not sure if PB does anything to thin the metal of the nib to add flex besides the grooves and the wings.
