UGH! Just inked my Sheaffer triumph crest with Diamine Rustic Brown, and after a night of sitting, there was already ink all over the grip! It isn't some leaky seal--it seems to be coming from the nib. Any ideas on how to solve this?

Thanks!

Likely not all the seals were replaced. There is an air leak somewhere.

It was repaired by Ron Zorn, so I hope that wasn't the case...

I like to use some grease or modeling wax to seal around the nib thread to prevent leakage.

So you think the triumph nibbed pens leak from the joint b/w the nib and the section? Is silicone grease O.K to use here?

Thanks!

If it is leaking from the nib as you say, then a little grease or wax will seal it....Good luck.

I don't know where it is leaking from exactly, but I'll try putting some silicone grease on the nib's joint.
Thanks again!

Decided to sell it instead. I don't want to wait months for a service (that's the one big "ugh" with the great pen repairers, the wait time). Sold the Aurora 88 too. I want a vintage 400 again :)
