Ello everyone and Happy New Year! Pretty new to the site, and just dipped my toes in the hobby. I bought my first fountain pen last spring, a Platinum Preppy, it was one of the add on items on Amazon at the time and I figured “Ahh, what the heck, why not?” After using it, I quickly became fascinated/obsessed with them and have accumulated a few more. Nothing too fancy yet, but I am very pleased with the pens I have so far. I’ve been looking for a place to go with questions, and it looks like FPGeeks is going to be my go to site.

I figured I’d go ahead and share my “collection” as well, as you can see I started out with all the disposables. IMO the Platinum Preppy is definitely the best of the bunch as far as disposables go and it is still one of my favorite pens to use, that and my Super5. The Blue Lamy Safari I just received for Christmas.

Welcome! I hope you have fun here:)
Hey, if you are careful taking the nib/feed off of the Varsity when the ink runs out, it doesn't have to remain a disposable. I haven't tried it though, I have yet to find one in a store ( I will have to buy one online ).

Welcome !!!

You have a great start for sure.

The Preppy is a great dependable pen for sure. They are the 1st pen I give to someone who is interested or curious about fountain pens. They always work and make for an easy 1st time experience.
