If you carry two or more different color pens, I guess you would have to alternate fingernail colors. Or, if you are boring, just carry one color pen. I'm surprised there are no color coordinated photos....

I like it when the color and design of the manicure match the girl's style. If a girl prefers a more relaxed look, she does not need a bright design on her nails. Fortunately for my pens, they do not resemble my nails for the most part. My nails are broken and abused. My pens, not so much.

When you get antique you get Nail FUNGUS ETC.They look antique too. The pens also get tarnishes ware out and oxidisation. I have my nails some similarity to mach those vintage pens.
