Parker Pen Identification Please

Hey guys, I just got a friend introduced to fountain pens. Seems like his grandfather had one of these along with a Parker 45. But they aren't sure what this pen is. Btw, it's got a metal Parker squeeze converter. Here are some photos I got him to take:

Not sure anything other than the nib and maybe the converter are Parker but it seems a custom overlay from the UK. If so one of the proofmarks will be the assay office and another the makers mark. There's likely a date stamp there too.

That's what I though. He did say that this pen may have been rebuilt or something because there was something wrong with it before. I'll have to ask again. Thanks Jar.

Once you get a good pictures of the proof marks go to the Birmingham assay office and they have info to decode them.

Just to confirm, you are referring to the marks in the last photo right?

Correct. Here is an example from one of my pens.

The first on the left is the Makers Mark, in this case Yard-o-Led; the next two are assay marks; then the Birmingham Assay Office anchor; then the Sterling silver UK stamp and finally the date of assay stamp.

Even though it's not in its original state, my friend is super lucky to have inherited this pen! Based on the research so far... London, 1880 or 1920, 18k gold England. Don't know the maker though. He's gonna email the array office tonight. This is so exciting!

Which one's the makers mark?

I see London (leopard), date mark (can't tell), 18k gold stamped prior to 1975 (crown 18 ). The makers mark is normally before the assay office. I'll be interested to hear what the assay office have to say.
