Pentrace announces our 2016 Numbered Edition fountain pen.

Considering the many requests and detailed specifications from our readers we are pleased to announce that the 2016 Numbered Edition fountain pen will be available shortly.

We have listened to your comments and suggestions as to design and function details.

Here are a few hints as to the final concept.

Well made by notable pen manufacturer in Italy with reputation for high quality production.

Traditional Pentrace green in a shimmering mother of pearl green similar to our 2004 Limited Edition.

Comfortable size for any hand, not too big and not too small. Comfortable unposted and great balance with cap posted. Flat top design inspired by vintage pens of the Golden Age.

No metal trim rings on section, comfortable minimum “step” from barrel to section.

High quality Harmonic steel nib specially shaped for flexible and controlled response from Fine to Medium and even to a Broad line with minimal effort. Unique design nib and feed facilitates for a consistent ink flow with line widths typically from 1.0mm to 1.5mm.

Filling mechanism will be piston filler.
Packaged in modest but attractive gift box with newpentrace.net decoration.

Pricing will be “comfortably” below $200.00

$50.00 deposit required, balance when ready for shipment.

This will be a Numbered Edition by subscription only. We will be taking pre-production orders. Note that production will be strictly limited to the quantity of pre-production orders received. This means…if you like it, place your order as it will not be available again after Numbered Edition production.

Orders may be taken from U.S. and International readers and is not limited to Pentrace readers. This may be ordered by anyone who would appreciate a high quality Italian-made fountain pen that is designed by very picky popular choice from serious fountain pen users.

A final prototype is being produced as we speak and will be posted as soon as available.
You will be able to see high quality images to inspect every detail, a written review of performance and actual writing examples to demonstrate a most unique and remarkably responsive nib.

Stay tuned…..2016 newpentrace.net Numbered Edition will be here soon.

If you have any questions please contact me via email or PM and I will respond.

It's a pity because it will incur customs charges buying from Europe.

The pen will be priced very competitively since Pentrace will not expect as large profit margin as retailers usually get.

I believe the manufacturer uses a Schmidt piston mechanism.

Hi, Giovanni.

I read in the article about the 2004 Pentrace LE that multiple nibs were offered, and there was an option for nib customization. Would it be possible to have a similar arrangement for the 2016 LE? i am specifically interested in having an LE with an italic nib.

David

Giovanni Abrate
March 7th, 2016, 04:24 AM
David, one of the characteristics of this new LE is the use of the semi-flex nib used in the Aleph. The nib spans the widths between F and B.

Stunning pen. Just wondering, are any more pens available?

Sorry, Dimitris, they were made only for the people who pre-ordered. No extra pens and this resin in this pen will never be used again. We gave two months or so of time for people to place their pre-orders and posted messages in all the major pen forums. I am sorry you missed this opportunity. The last Pentrace LE pen before this one was 14 years ago, so we don't do too many of these!!!!

Keep it. The two pens are distinctively different if not in design, in style and branding.
I always like the Aleph symbol on the nib, I doubt the Pentrace LE has that.
