Omas Bibliotheque, 18k M nib, Parchment color resin
A special edition from 1996, Milord size piston filler

Very nice used condition. There is some brassing on the high point of the clip.
It's very clean. I had it thoroughly flushed and lightly lubricated. This is a model where
the section unscrews from the barrel, allowing for easy cleaning and maintenance.

As it's so nice and clean right now I hate to ink it. It's a very smooth, very standard Western medium, with no flex to speak of.

Or at least a dip sample? The problem with that response is that in the past I've had a couple used Omas before, declared working well, but course when you get it and the nib doesn't flow and the seller is like oh, I haven't tested it in so long was just going off of memory, it kind of leaves a sour taste in one's mouth and anan experience many of us has had at least once.

If it's a recently cleaned/flushed then I would assume it was recently tested as well, so maybe there's a scribbling or two laying around. (Also I'm not sure the section is supposed to easily remove from the barrel if it's like the Omas Europa or FAO I had, since there's usually a sealant placed on those threads).

I could dip it, but that wouldn't tell me much about the flow. If it doesn't write to your satisfaction I'd be happy to have you return it.

As for scribblings, there are probably some in notebooks, but which belong to this pen? I wouldn't know where to look.
I do know that it wrote very well on both fine paper like a Rhodia notebook, and on cheap pulp paper sudoku puzzles.

It writes like my FAO; if anything the FAO is firmer.

And yes, there is supposed to be a non-adhesive sealant on all section threads, and an appropriate non-adhesive sealant should always be applied on assembly.
Sealing the section threads can be a challenge on Omas models that mix materials, such as metal/wood/celluloid, but are much less problematic on these all-resin pens.

Thread sealant is an interesting topic. I have a celluloid w/metal section Bologna that refused to seal with rosin (my preferred), kind of sealed with teflon and does okay with shellac. One Legni with plastic section threads held ink only with teflon. Another Legni that has a really tight thread fit - so teflon wasn't appropriate - works with shellac.
Modern pens seem to come with some kind of silicone rubbery stuff, but I have yet to hear exactly what it is. And more important to me - what it isn't.
