Offered is a very rare example of Edison's Menlo
Original design, with broad iridium nib. Never inked, kept in collection since new.

A while ago I sent pictures to Brian Gray (owner/founder of Edison Pen Co.)
for verification. This is what he told me:

"Yes, that is a pen that was made very early in Edison history.
It is a Menlo made of Trustone. This is a material that I really don't use anymore, as it presents machining hassles that I won't deal with anymore. Great material, but today it's not worth the hassles.
It is probably a bit more valuable to an Edison collector, as the original Menlos are rare, and one made from Trustone is even more rare."
