I am the new member and new to fountain pen, I just own a Sailor PGR, the pen with piston fill system. Can I remove the section form barrel for cleaning?

There is no reason to remove the section for cleaning. However, if you insist on this, you can look at this page (http://kmpn.blogspot.com/2009/09/sailor-1911-realo.html) to see a 1911 Realo pulled apart. I have heard that there is a bit of sealant holding threaded parts together, and that excessive force can cause cracking. You have been cautioned.
