Here's a side-by-side comparison between the Pelikan M620 and Pelikan M800 both in the Grand Place design. Both are stunning with chatoyance in person.

Great photo.

I love that M800 so much, and you've really captured how nice it looks. I thank my lucky stars it's too heavy for me. :)

Great side by side photo.

Not sure which one I like better but both would be nice :)

Beautiful pens - Thank You for the comparison. Like Laura, I think the M800 would be too heavy for my hand, but maybe the M620 ...

Both are very pretty pens. I wish Pelikan had gone with a brown blind cap on the M800 instead of black, but still a great looking pen.

I guess that's why we have a choice. I feel that the black adds to the professional appearance even though it may appear stodgy to some people. Besides, it complements the black section.

I guess I assume changing the blind cap would be accompanied by changing the section. If I were picking the color I would have used the dark brown found on the M800 tortoise. Not much different than black but enough to add a little more distinction.

I agree. There isn't much difference between the black and the dark brown on the section, cap and blind cap. The lighter brown on the M600 is too light for my tastes.
Does anyone know the difference between special edition and limited edition?

Thanks very much! I really love them both. I do write with the M800 more due to it's size. But either way, it's perfect!

I do love the black on the M800. [emoji1]

From what I've seen for Pelikan pens, limited edition pens are produced to a limited number. e.g. 1000 of 3000

Special edition pens are unnumbered but are produced only within a specific timeframe. Like the M200 Café Créme that came out in April 2015 and I think is no longer made.

Hope that helps.

You have just made my descision of adding to my Pelikan flock more difficult as I had planned on an M800 in blue striated. Now I may need the Grand Place as well...🤔
