Hello everyone
Up for sale is a Celluloid Montblanc 144 fountain pen with an exceptional OBB nib (as SBRE Brown would say: this is serious nibbage).
A rare opportunity to own a perfect Montblanc with the iconic telescopic piston and the original, buttery smooth two-tone 14C OBB nib.

The pen is in perfect working condition as it has just been serviced by vintage Montblanc expert Francis, also known as Fountainbel. Francis performed a complete overhaul, including complete disassembling, ultrasonic rinsing, manual external polishing, cleaning and greasing the telescopic system, adding a new piston seal and swaging the cap rings. I would like to thank him once again for his efforts.
Features:
- A wonderfully smooth two-tone 14 C OBB nib that offers significant line variation. As you can see, this nib is capable of laying down a huge amount of ink and the nib tines can open up quite nicely under pressure.
- 'Ski-slope' style ebonite feed, keeps up very well with the nib.
- Striped ink window.
- Telescopic piston filling mechanism that works flawlessly, fills the pen with ease to its maximum ink capacity.
- Truly exceptional writing performance, we are talking about vintage Montblanc at its best. Please check the writing sample.
- Rings are sitting tight, they show no loss of gold plating.
- No cracks, no dents, somewhat deeper scratches on the piston turning knob, some microscratches all over the pen, please check the HQ photos.
