Hi there good folks,

I have recently bought a Visconti Rembrandt with a F Nib and I have been having some doubts about it.

It releases almost no ink when I use no pressure on the pen, and when I do, it writes more consistently. I am not sure if the low ink flow is the standard for this kind of nib, or if there is something wrong with mine and I need to send it to the repairman.

Here is a sample of what happens with the pen, the ink is Iroshizuku Yama-Guri:

Thanks in advance for any help!

Well, it's not the ink. I use yama-guri a lot in several different pens, and it flows great.

I suspect a good nibmeister is what you need -- get the nib adjusted.

Hi Robert!

I was hoping the Nib had problems, didn't want to get disappointed with the brand... I'll send it to the Nibmeister tomorrow, hopefully things will work out...

Thanks!

Francisco

I experienced some hard starts with mine (also F nib, black coated), but only on smooth paper.

If it's under warranty, I'd send it back for replacement. Those nibs are known to be quite wet. Hope the nibmeister is able to fix it for you.
